What we publish:

Illustrated general nonfiction across any subject. Memoirs, personal development, architecture, design, cooking, and the kinds of books that don’t fit neatly into a category. If your book is beautiful, substantive, and made to be kept, it belongs here, whether it’s fully formed or still taking shape.

How we publish:

White Finch is a hybrid press, which means we co-invest in each book alongside its author. We chose this model deliberately. Traditional publishing tends to pass on books that are visually ambitious, niche, or hard to fit into a mass-market plan, no matter how good they are. The hybrid model lets us say yes to those books and to make them to a standard that traditional budgets often won’t allow.

All of our manuscript submissions are handled on Familiar. Do not email submissions.

Once you are ready to submit, click HERE to get to our submission form on Familiar.

You'll be asked for a short bio, a pitch for your book (including what it is, who it's for, and where it fits), and a few additional questions covering where you are in the process and any visual direction you have in mind.

You do not need a finished manuscript, professional illustration, or a literary agent to reach out. A clear idea and a sense of who the book is for are enough to start.

What happens next:

We review every submission personally. If your book feels like a fit, we’ll reach out to talk it through. From there, we build a plan around your specific project.
